For over 100 years, Collonil has been trusted by customers when it comes to shoe and leather care. Customers rely on the superior quality and reliability of our products. We are committed to uphold this tradition – and continually innovate in order to meet our customers´ expectations and needs each and every day. At the same time, we wish to meet their expectations concerning our products´ social and environmental impact. For this reason, we have defined this policy for responsible product development and sustainable manufacturing by the following voluntary declaration.

Collonil products combine highest possible efficacy with minimal environmental impact. It is our aim to develop products that provide optimal efficacy and, at the same time, the least possible amount of environmentally harmful ingredients.

Whenever possible, we use natural ingredients such as natural waxes and oils.

Similarly, whenever possible, we incorporate water based and therefore solvent free products in our designs. In order to guarantee optimal product efficacy and best possible user-friendliness at the same time, we unfortunately cannot dispense with solvents completely. In these cases we exclusively use ultrapure benzenes. Additionally, Collonil increasingly deploys sugar surfactants which are produced from regenerative raw materials.

Also, Collonil eliminated all PFOA and PFOS from our products over 20 years ago.

For our aerosol products that contain propellants we only use gases which have no harmful effects on the ozone layer. For several decades now we have used propellant-free pump sprays whenever technically possible and viable from an efficacy perspective.

In future, we want to continue to provide our customers with well-known Collonil agency and quality they have trusted for years already. For this reason, we consider ourselves responsible to constantly develop our products further as well as to optimise their agency and to minimise their impact upon the environment according to latest standards of technology.
