Terms and conditions of use

1. Company details

The online store www.petridi.gr is operated by «AFAI PETRIDI O.E.» ("the Company"), Karolou Ntil 27, 54623 Thessaloniki, Greece, VAT No. 998081399, Tax Office D’ Thessaloniki, GEMI No. 043401706000. 2. Acceptance of these terms

Using this website and placing an order means you accept these terms. The Company may change them at any time. Each order is governed by the terms published on the date it was placed.

3. Customer account

You can order as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your details accurate and your password confidential. You can permanently delete your account at any time from "My account" → "My personal data". Orders and invoices are kept for as long as tax law requires. The Company may deactivate an account that is used in breach of these terms.

4. Products and prices

We make every effort to keep descriptions, photos and stock information accurate. Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen. All prices are in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately before you complete your order. If a price is obviously wrong or a product turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you. You can then accept the corrected order or cancel it for a full refund.

5. Orders

After you place an order you receive a confirmation e-mail. The contract of sale is concluded when we confirm availability and ship the order or make it ready for pickup. A receipt is issued with every order, or an invoice if you request one.

6. Payment methods

• Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard) through the secure page of the bank or payment provider. The Company does not store card details.
• PayPal.
• Bank deposit. The order ships once the payment has cleared.
• Cash on delivery, with a 2 € surcharge.
• Payment in store, for orders collected from the store.

7. Shipping and delivery

Orders ship with ACS, Geniki Taxydromiki or ELTA to Greece, Cyprus and the rest of Europe. Shipping cost depends on weight, volume and destination, and is shown before checkout. Shipping within Greece is free for orders over 80 €, for parcels up to 3 kg (actual or volumetric weight). You can also collect your order free of charge from our store once we let you know it is ready. Usual delivery time within Greece is 1–4 working days, depending on the area. Please check the package on delivery and report any damage to the courier.

8. Right of withdrawal (returns)

As a consumer, you can withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason within 15 days of receiving the product (Article 3e, Law 2251/1994). Tell us using the "Withdraw from contract here" link at the bottom of every page and in your account; once you confirm, you will immediately receive an e-mail acknowledging your withdrawal. You can also tell us in writing at info@petridi.gr, quoting your order number. Return the product within 14 days of telling us, unused, in its original condition and packaging, with its labels. The customer pays the return shipping cost. We will refund the amount, including the original standard shipping cost, within 14 days of your notice, using the same payment method. We may wait until we receive the product. The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• products made or altered to your specifications (e.g. rope cut to length, embroidery),
• sealed products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once unsealed (e.g. underwear, patches),
• products that spoil quickly (e.g. survival food).

If the product has been used beyond what is needed to try it, we may deduct the corresponding loss in value from the refund. For a change of size or colour, please contact us. The customer also pays the shipping costs for exchanges.

9. Guarantee and faulty products

All products are covered by the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity (Articles 534 ff. of the Greek Civil Code). Some products also carry a manufacturer's guarantee, as stated on their product page. If you receive a faulty or wrong product, tell us as soon as possible. We will send a courier at our own expense to collect it, and repair it, replace it or refund you at no cost to you.

10. Safety and correct use

Many of our products (climbing, mountaineering and survival gear, knives) are used in activities that carry risk. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and use the equipment only if you have the right training. The Company is not liable for harm caused by use that goes against the instructions. This does not limit your rights under the legal guarantee or the producer's liability.

11. Intellectual property

The website's content (text, photos, logos, design) belongs to the Company or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. It may be used only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any copying, republishing or commercial use requires prior written permission. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners.

12. Use of the website and liability

Use the website only for lawful purposes and without harming its operation. We make every effort to keep the website working correctly and without interruption, but cannot guarantee that it will always be free of errors or downtime. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites that we link to. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Personal data

How we process your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You can download or delete your data from the "My personal data" page in your account.

14. Complaints and disputes

For any complaint, contact us at +30 2310 227746 or info@petridi.gr. We will reply as soon as possible. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or another alternative dispute resolution body. These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Thessaloniki have jurisdiction, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer.
