El Gaz is a brand of gas cartridges for portable stoves, lanterns and other camping appliances. Its cartridges are the essential fuel for anyone cooking outdoors, from family camping to mountain trips.

At Petridi you will find from El Gaz:

  • Screw-thread valve cartridges for stoves
  • Pierceable cartridges
  • Cartridges in different sizes

Before buying a cartridge, make sure it matches your appliance: there are screw-thread valve cartridges for most hiking stoves and pierceable cartridges for older-style stoves. Choose the size according to the length of the trip and the number of people. In cold weather and at altitude cartridge performance drops, so it helps to keep the cartridge warm before use. Always store cartridges in a cool place away from flames, and never leave them in the sun inside a car.

At Petridi, a Thessaloniki store since 1949, we will show you which El Gaz cartridge fits your stove. Ask us as well about shipping options for gas cartridges ordered through the e-shop.

Summer Gas is a mixture of propane and butane and is optimised for summer conditions with temperatures between 15 °C and 40 °C. At really hot temperatures, other gas mixtures may be too powerful, meaning reduced efficiency and increased fuel consumption. There is no such risk with this gas mixture.
